At Framing Technology, Inc., we pride ourselves on the sheer variety of fabricated parts sold directly to customers from our website. Whatever the need or application, more than likely we can provide a ready-made solution with our considerable inventory of types and sizes of T-slotted aluminum extrusions (in both metric and inch profiles) along with related assembly hardware, including:

FramingTech Products

Whether for your home, manufacturing facility, or place of business, we offer a wide range of pre-designed yet versatile assemblies for cartsenclosureswall sectionstablesworkbenchesshelving, signage, and even aquarium stands, available raw, in kit form, assembled, or installed at your location.

But sometimes even the most versatile prefab assembly just won’t fit the bill. What if you need something truly new, unique, and out-of-the-ordinary? Our answer? No problem!

CAD to the Rescue

Have a concept that exists nowhere else but in your mind’s eye? Our free in-house engineering support can bring your concept to reality, whether you present it to us over the phone, by email, or sketched on a paper napkin, thanks to the technical magic of computer-aided design, or CAD.

“CAD” is the use of computer systems or workstations to create, modify, and analyze a designed object, no matter how simple or complex. CAD software increases the productivity of the designer, improves the quality of the design, and produces an electronic data file (including a detailed blueprint) for manufacturing the item to spec.

At FramingTech, our CAD software of choice is Dassault Systèmes’ SolidWorks Premium, a comprehensive 3D design solution that features real-world simulation, motion, and design validation tools, advanced wire and pipe routing functionality, and much more. The software allows us to model, compose, and render the concept in three dimensions, subject it to structural analysis, and output all needed documentation for production.

The SolidWorks Premium suite boasts broad FEA (finite element analysis) capability, a computerized method for predicting how a product reacts to real-world forces such as vibration, heat, fluid flow, and other physical effects. This capability allows us to perform static, stress, and motion analysis on assemblies as well as individual parts. Thus, beyond mere 3D solid modeling, the software can simulate kinematic motion and provide structural validation, thereby identifying areas that may be prone to failure while suggesting changes to guide optimization of the final output design.
